The "album" artwork is mine, so don't re-use it, please. I didn't intend the images to be used for the CDs, so the relevance isn't 100%, but I thought that the CDs needed covers of some sort...

If you do listen, let me know what you think. I pride myself a lot in the track-arrangement, so I'd love to hear other thoughts on it. I try not to throw too much together on to one CD, which is difficult for me. I still end up with a pretty eclectic mix, so I try to make the songs work together so that they don't seem so erratic. It's hard to honestly say I stick to one theme, though, when I put Big Brother & The Holding Company and Bauhaus on the same CD...

The album artwork is sensational. You did a really great job.
That's awesome you like Goldfrapp. And Portishead. I love Portishead. Violent Femmes are fucking great, as well.
I have a question about Sneaker Pimps. Is "Walking Zero" during the time when they had the female lead vocalist? I've only ever heard them when she was still in the band. I heard they got a male singer, but I'm still a bit iffy about hearing that.
Every single song on the second album is excellent.
I have most of these songs, but I might download them anyway. It's also cool you posted this. I've been thinking about doing the same thing. Just certain tracks I think people should hear, not album compilations. Even though that is also a great idea.

Thanks, I'm glad that you like it. Both images were ones I had done earlier, but they ended up suiting the mixes nicely enough. Larger versions are in the ZIP archives with the mixes, and on my DeviantArt.

Walking Zero has a female vocalist on it. It's off of Becoming X, which came out in '96. I haven't heard much about Sneaker Pimps, really. I've only got the one album, but I like it quite a bit.

I love making mixes... There's something exciting in taking a bunch of songs I love at the moment, and playing with the track arrangement until I deem it perfect. I do feel the urge a lot, though, to just post links to songs on my journal, or to start a separate one just to post music in... I don't think anyone would download it, though, otherwise I'd be all over the idea.

Kings Crossing into Perfect Day? I get goosebumps just thinking about it. I'll definitely be giving these a listen today. :)
